We find ourselves in unprecedented times. The outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19) across the world has impacted our everyday lives, communities and businesses.
NON-ESSENTIAL SHOPS CAN RE-OPEN FROM 15 JUNE 2020
PERSONAL CARE & LEISURE BUSINESSES CAN HOPEFULLY RE-OPEN FROM 4 JULY 2020
As Lavenham begins to re-open for business, we want to assure visitors that local businesses and the Parish Council are taking every precaution to ensure your safety. We do ask visitors to be mindful that some of our pavements and lanes are narrow: there will be some parking restrictions in places to enable pavements to be widened. The public toilets are being prepared for safe reopening, but in the meantime you can find portable toilets in the carparks. Several of the shops have had to adjust their trading hours and the days they open. If you are making a special trip to see a particular shop, it might be an idea to ring them first.
The majority of our local businesses are small independents which makes our village even more unique and special.
We encourage you to shop small and support them – it has never been more important.
Please help keep Lavenham lovely by taking your rubbish home with you and disposing of dog mess responsibly.
Lavenham makes for an excellent day out and is an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding Suffolk countryside and coast. We are the perfect choice for your post lockdown getaway break and we look forward to being able to welcome you back soon to one of our lovely holiday cottages, hotels or B&Bs!
Stay safe and stay aware!
