Walking Tours of Lavenham
Do come and enjoy a walk around the wonderfully preserved Medieval Village of Lavenham. The village was featured in the BBC4 series ‘Pubs, Ponds and Power, The Story of a Village’ looking back at how such villages went from wealth to poverty and then survived. Our walks will show you the former clothiers’ houses. Tell you how the people lived and worked in the 15c. Meander through the streets and hear how the village went from wealth to poverty and how today, it is a busy place focused on providing that special experience we hope you will take away with you.
A member of our team of qualified blue and green badge guides will be waiting to take you on a walking tour – these start from the foyer of The Swan Hotel, High Street at the following times:
From April to October our tours will run on
Wednesday 2pm; Saturday 2pm; Sunday 11am;
From 1 November to 31 March they will continue through the Winter Season on Wednesday afternoons only at 2pm.
The charge is £5.00 per adult (cash only).
