Lavenham Vintage Volkswagen Show - Postponed
Starts in 2 Months, 12 Days
19th June 2020 to 21st June 2020 All Day
COVID-19 Coronavirus Update:
A decision has now been made to postpone the Lavenham Vintage VW Show and the show will no longer take place on June 19th-21st 2020.
Alternative dates of 11/13th September have been arranged and all live registrations will be moved to this date.
We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause but we are sure you will all agree this action is necessary given the circumstances we find ourselves in.
We do hope you can join us on our revised date and thank you for your continued support.
Now firmly established as one of the premier Vintage VW events, the 4th meeting will take place in Lavenham on June 19th-21st 2020 with Saturday being the main public display.
The Lavenham show differs from most UK VW shows in two ways; It features only stock, un-modified pre-1967 Vintage Volkswagens, displayed in a fantastic setting. Surrounded by many timbered buildings, including the famous Guild Hall, Lavenham’s picturesque market square in the centre of the town is the setting for a display of the earliest vehicles. Additional displays will be located in the school playground which is adjacent to the square, at Lavenham Press on Water Street and in the meadow at the bottom of Water Street, just a short walk from the square.
Entrance to the show for spectators is free and visitors are invited to have a great day out – wandering around the vintage Volkswagens in the picturesque mediaeval town. It will be a chance to see many of the best early Volkswagens displayed by enthusiasts from around Europe.
There will be the special Volkswagen-only parking area for visitors which proved to be a very popular part of the last show but, please note, it will be in a new, larger location – details to follow. There will be a small parking fee payable on the day.
If you’re not fortunate enough to own a Volkswagen, public parking (including 2 disabled spaces) is available by the Cock Inn, opposite the church and there’s a smaller car park on Prentice Street also with disabled spaces.
