Lavenham Blue Tearooms - Lavenham, Suffolk

After a life-changing illness, Amanda decided to live her motto: “If you can dream it, you can do it.” She converted her Grade 2 listed cottage, which dates back to the 15th century, to create the Tea Rooms and poured her heart and soul into her business, and it has continued from strength to strength. Ask Amanda about her journey, her fascinating family and the photographs of four generations adorning the walls while you enjoy your afternoon or cream tea.

Located in the heart of the village on the market square, the Tea Rooms offer a unique experience that is steeped in history. This fact hasn’t escaped the media, with recent visits from Netflix on location, Julia Bradbury from This Morning on one of her famous walks and features in the Daily Telegraph and Women’s Weekly. Why not sit in the sun-trapped courtyard or directly on the square, marvelling at the unparalleled views of the famous Lavenham Guildhall, soaking up the history or simply watching the world go by?

Visiting after a long walk? No problem. Dogs are very welcome, along with well-behaved owners of course. Food is served every day from 10:00 – 16:30.
